Arts opportunities for school children in Mississppi Mills are a vital aspect of a complete education

Cultural Awards

The Cultural Achievement and Cultural Volunteerism awards are given to individuals or organizations that reside, work, or are based in Mississippi Mills and have made a significant contribution to the arts and culture in the community and perhaps beyond. Over time and through their professional or volunteer work in the cultural sector, they have exhibited a generosity of spirit and helped develop the cultural mosaic of the community. Each year a committee selects individuals or groups to receive the awards, which are presented at the Gala. These awards are designed to celebrate both artists and those who support them in their endeavours. They also demonstrate the importance of working and volunteering in the arts, which helps to make Mississippi Mills a vibrant and wonderful town in which to live.
